Update 24th March 2020:
UKSA has received information from Inas (Virtus) Europe to confirm that the 2020 European Athletics, Swimming and Table Tennis Champions scheduled for Russia in June has been cancelled. There are no plans to re-schedule this event in 2020.
We know that athletes will be disappointed and worried about this cancellation. UKSA will be speaking with its Sports Committees and Inas (Virtus) Europe to consider the impact and plans for 2021.

Update 19th March 2020:
The current situation and advice is changing rapidly. Earlier today we receive communication from Marc Truffaut, President of Virtus regarding two of the events that UKSA has been watching closely:
World Tennis Championships, Belgium, 18 – 26th July 2020
This event has been cancelled. Virtus has advised that the are exploring whether or not it is possible to provide a World Championships towards the end of 2020. There are no guarantees that this is possible. They will update us when possible. UKSA will continue to keep the LTA informed of any progress. We will also update through our website and social media.
Players should continue to follow the guidance of their LTA contacts and coaches. If there are any questions or further guidance needed then please contact us at UKSA.
World Cycling Championships, Portugal 21st – 27th July 2020
This event has been cancelled. Virtus has advised that they are exploring whether or not it is possible to host an event later in the year, possibly through video entries. There are no guarantees that this is possible. They will update us when possible. UKSA will continue to keep you informed through our website and social media.
In the meantime cyclists should continue to follow the guidance of their club and their coaches. If there are any questions or further guidance needed then please contact us at UKSA.
