Other Ways to Give
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving, which is sometimes called "Give As you Earn - GAYE" is one of the most effective ways for you to support the UK Sports Association (UKSA) and its work. Its tax free, simple to join and you are in complete control!
For example if you are a basic taxpayer and you decide to give just £7.80 per month from your salary to UKSA, your donation will actually be worth £10 as UKSA will be paid the gross amount - once again there is no extra cost to you but your donation goes further!!
To make a regular payroll donation, contact your payroll department to see if they are registered with a Payroll Giving Agency. Complete a payroll giving form from your employer and that's it!
If at any point you want to end the donation or change the amount you give you just need to contact your payroll department and make the changes.
If your Company is not registered with a Payroll Giving Agency, ask your Payroll Manager to contact us and we will happily provide your employer with details on how to sign up.
A Gift in Memory
So many of us face difficult and sad times when a family member, friend or loved one dies. "Giving in Memory" is a positive way to acknowledge and recognise the life of someone close to you and will help us to create better opportunities for many people with learning disability across the UK.
Instead of sending flowers, increasingly many people like to make a donation to charity and encourage others to do the same.
You can make a "donation in memory" by post by completing the donation form and sending it together with your cheque, or Charities Aid Foundation Voucher, payable to "UK Sports Association" to:
"In Memory"
UK Sports Association
1st Floor
12 City Forum
250 City Road
London EC1V 2PU
Remember to tell us who your donation is "In memory of" so that we can record the generosity of family and friends acknowledging the life of someone close.
If you would prefer to speak to someone about your "In Memory" donation, then please contact us on 0207 490 3057, but in the meantime, thank you for considering us at what no doubt is a difficult time.
A Gift in your Will
It comes to us all and although we don't like to think about our own mortality, it's an important time in our lives when we come to writing a will so we ensure that the future of family, friends and loved ones are protected whilst leaving a legacy to something important to us.
If you are preparing to write your will, perhaps you would consider making a gift to the UK Sports Association for People with Learning Disability (UKSA)
Your generosity will help to ensure that athletes with learning disability have the same access to quality competitive sports opportunities across the UK.
So many people make the mistake of thinking that if they die without making a will their estate will automatically transfer to their partner or next of kin. Whilst this is possible, there are also situations where without a will entire estates go to the Crown!
Making a will is your way of ensuring that your legacy is left in a way that you want it to and for the benefit of those people that are close to you and for you to plan how to support your favourite charity after you have gone.
If you don't have a will, or you wish to update your current will, it is important that you consult a solicitor. If you don't have a solicitor you can use the Law Society's on line solicitor locator by visiting www.solicitors-online.com
If you do intend to leave a gift to UKSA in your will, we would be very grateful if you could let us know your intentions. Your wishes and confidentiality will of course be honoured and a pledge to leave a gift will in no way be considered binding by the Organisation. By letting us know, it simply allows us to be informed.
To leave a gift in your will please give your solicitor the following details:
Our Registered Charity Number: 1050767
Our Contact Details:
UK Sports Association for People with Learning
Disability, 1st Floor, 12 City Forum, 250 City Road,
London EC1V 2PU
Thank you for considering us and our work as a beneficiary.
