Donations and Gift Aid

How Can I Donate?

There are a variety of ways you can donate to the UK Sports Association (UKSA). Whichever way you choose and whatever the level of your donation, your support is greatly appreciated and will support UKSA in managing Team GB, its athletes and encouraging sports opportunities at every level for people with learning disability in the UK.

A regular donation will give UKSA more freedom to plan ahead in an effective way over the coming year and exciting events programme. If you would like to make a regular donation to support our important work then simply fill in the donation form here and send to us at your earliest convenience.

Perhaps you would prefer to make a one off donation. You can do by this by completing the donation form here and posting it with your cheque or Charities Aid Foundation Voucher, payable to "UK Sports Association" to:

UK Sports Association
1st Floor
12 City Forum
250 City Road

Or if you prefer to make a donation on line click here.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is an easy way to make your donation go further raising extra money for the UK Sports Association (UKSA) at no extra cost to you!

Gift Aid allows charities to claim back the tax from sponsors or donors as income or capital gains tax. This means that UKSA will get an extra 25p from the Government for every pound you donate. If you raised £1000 and all your sponsors allow us to Gift Aid their donation, then UKSA would be able to claim an extra £250 from Government!

Anyone who is a UK tax payer and has paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that year can agree to have their donation Gift Aided. Sounds complicated? Don't worry its not. All you have to remember is that if you are a UK tax payer and you tell us we can gift aid your donation by ticking the box on your donation form - we will do the rest! Do remember to give us the home address details of any donor though as its only individuals and not company donations that we can gift aid.

Unfortunately UKSA cannot claim tax back on any company donations. All Company donations should be sent to us including tax. The Company can then claim back tax through their annual returns and accounts.
