GB Selection Policies
2012 Athletics
INAS World Indoor Athletics Championships, Manchester (14th 17th March 2012)
Athletes and staff wishing to be considered for selection to the GB for this event should first read the GB Selection Policy for full details of the standards and selection criteria and also speak to their Home Country Association.
Athlete Selection
Athletes should complete the Performance & Training Form 1 and submit to UKSA by email to be considered for selection. A deposit payment should accompany all athlete submissions. Please speak to your Home Country Association before submitting.
Staff Selection
Those wishing to be considered for a staff position should submit a business style CV, photo and covering letter by email indicating the position they are interested in via their Home Country Association. Download further guidance on what is required in a CV here.
Positions available include Team Manager, Head Coach, Coach, Physiotherapist, Team Support Officer. Role descriptions for each post are available on request and the SSC will select staff and staff positions appropriate to numbers of athletes who are invited at the point of selection.
Deadlines
All athlete performances and training information, including deposit, should reach UKSA by 3pm on Friday 9th December 2011.
All staff CVs and accompanying letters should reach UKSA by 3pm on Friday 9th December 2011.
Invitations to the GB Team will be made by 21st December 2011.
2011 Swimming (Global Games)
INAS Global Games, Italy (24th September to 4th October 2011)
This is a multi-sport championship.
Swimmers and staff wishing to be considered for selection to Team GB (Swimming) for this event should first read the Selection Policy.
To be considered for selection swimmers should complete the Performance Form 1 and submit to UKSA by email by close of business on Friday 24th June 2011. Swimmers should ensure that all information requested including results and information on their training plan is provided.
Those wishing to be considered for a staff position are asked to send by email, a business style sports CV, photo and covering letter indicating the position they are interested in via their Home Country Association. All CVs should reach UKSA by close of business on Friday 24th June 2011. Positions available include Team Manager (Swimming), Head Coach (Swimming), Coach, Physiotherapist, Medical Officer, Team Support Officer (Pastoral Support). Role descriptions for each post are available on request. The UKSA Sports Selection Committee (SSC) will invite staff and determine the final positions required once final selection of swimmers is known.
This event is IPC approved, therefore swimmers will be required to complete the sports specific S14 TSAL available on the IPC Swimming website. This must be completed by 30th June 2011. Swimmers will also be required to have an IPC Swimming license by 15th July 2011.
2011 Table Tennis (Global Games)
INAS Global Games, Italy (24th September to 4th October 2011)
This is a multi-sport championship.
Athletes and staff wishing to be considered for selection to Team GB (Table Tennis) for this event should first read the Selection Policy - click here.
Athlete and staff preliminary invitations to Team GB will be made after 13th June, with final confirmation of Team GB being made on 30th June 2011.
Role descriptions for each staff post are available on request. UKSA will determine final staff positions and structure required once final selection of athletes is known.
2011 Athletics (Global Games)
INAS Global Games, Italy (25th September to 4th October 2011)
This is a multi-sport championship.
Athletes and staff wishing to be considered for selection to Team GB (Athletics) for this event should first read the Selection Policy.
Athlete Selection
Athlete selection will be completed in two stages. Early pre-selection will take place in April and final selection will be completed mid June.
To be considered for early pre-selection athletes should complete the Performance Form 1 and submit to UKSA by 4pm on Friday 1st April 2011. Athletes should ensure that all information requested including results and information on their training plan is provided.
Final selection will take place in June. Any athlete who does not meet the pre-selection criteria, but does achieve a standard at a later stage or any athlete wishing to submit a stronger performance achieved after pre-selection will need to ensure that performances, with results etc. reach UKSA by 5pm on 7th June 2011.

Athletes should complete the Performance Form 1 and submit to UKSA by close of business on Friday 14th January 2011 to be considered for selection to Team GB. Athletes should ensure they also provide full details of their training plan as requested in the form.
Those wishing to be considered for a staff position should submit a business style CV and covering letter via their Home Country Association.
All CVs should reach UKSA by 5pm on Friday 14th January 2011. Positions available include Team Manager/Head Coach, Coach, Physiotherapist, Team Support Officer. Role descriptions for each post are available on request and the SSC will select staff and staff positions appropriate to numbers of athletes who are invited at the point of selection.
Decisions and announcements regarding invitations to Team GB will be made after 18th January 2011.
2010 Table Tennis

2009 INAS-FID Global Games, Czech Republic
The event takes place between 5th - 14th July 2009 (revised dates), in Liberec, Czech Republic. If you wish to be considered for a staff position on Team GB, then contact your Home Country Association for further details. Minimum qualifications will be detailed in the relevant selection policy. Full role descriptions are available on request either from your Home Country Association or direct to UKSA.
