Funding
Athletes in Team GB do not receive any funding from Government or Lottery for them to prepare, train, compete and represent Great Britain at INAS-FID events. Athletes are completely reliant on donations and sponsorship and in many cases do not receive any financial support at all so must pay for the privilege of representing Great Britain themselves. Costs throughout the year and for Championship events can run into thousands of pounds each year for each athlete.
Whether funding is available and what that level of funding is, varies dependant upon where an athlete lives.
If you would like to support a particular athlete on Team GB, or would like to sponsor and support the Team as a whole, then contact UKSA for a no obligation discussion on how you can do this.
You may prefer to make a one off donation to support the Team. You can do this by logging onto www.bmycharity.com and making a donation on-line. Just search for "UK Sports Association" and select "Team GB". If you prefer you can send a cheque or Charities Aid Voucher payable to "The UK Sports Association" by post.
Remember if you are a UK tax payer we can gift aid your donation making it worth more to us. For full details of all the ways in which you can support Team GB and the work of UKSA click here.
