Board of Directors
Membership of UKSA and representation on its Board of Management is limited to the four Home Country Associations. Each Association may appoint two representatives who are Trustees for the purposes of Charity Law and Directors for the purpose of Company Law. The UKSA Board of Management is called the "Board of Directors".
The Board of Directors is led by the Chairman who is elected but is not a Director or Trustee. The Board also benefits from the expertise of its Treasurer, plus a co-opted member who is Chair of the National Eligibility Committee.
The Chief Executive, who is an employee is responsible for the day to day operations of UKSA and facilitates the operations of the Board. She works with Trustees to ensure the organisation meets its objectives and is also the Company Secretary for the purposes of Company Law.
The Board of Directors meets 3 times per year and retains an overview of the organisation, its development and management and decides on all matters relating to governance.
